A birthday present for their son; to translate a poem he wrote into a painting. 'I wanted to thank you enourmously for the painting, basically.... I love it - and have loved it since the first moment. I think the colours, the way the orange tree acts as a kind of pivot, the movement of the mountain falling away are brilliant.....it really clicks with my notion of the poem' IAAB
A Few comments from buyers over the years....
'I was lucky enough to be able to purchase the Spirit People from the Art for Life Auction last winter. It is possibly one of the most beautiful and inspiring pieces of art I have come across. As I have constantly been on the move since then I have barely had time to sit and look at it properly until now. It is so absorbing, I find myself gazing at it endlessly - it must have been very hard for you to part from it! Thank you.' R Ker
'Lily did our family portrait. It takes pride of place on the living room wall. Not only does she work with colours that suit you and fit your home, she also worked with our energy extremely well and takes note of the smaller details. Her work evolves and every day we can see more depth in our painting. It's wonderful and we love it!' J&J, Somerset.
'There is so much to be found in its high, fine vibration colours and tactile sculptural flows of energy. I follow in my mind's eye the upsweeping lines from the implied open heart to the Angel and as i do so my own heart opens more to the angelic realm. Thank you for taking exactly the right amount of time to allow the true feeling of The New to flow through you and find form here. And thank you for all the work you have done in making yourself a clear, skilled and inspired channel of high spiritual energies. Your love of The Work shines through'.
Dear Liz, I wanted to take the time to write for the absolutely superb bust that you sculpted of 'Max'. There are no better words to express what my heart feels than the two simple words, 'THANK YOU'. Photographs are a great reminder of the past and will be viewed with great fondness. However, the three dimensional figure that you spent so much time on and the sheer professionalism and personal touch on your part that you invested on the project brings the bust to life like no photograph can. You will be pleased to know that 'Max' sits in pride of place overlooking the fields that he loved to run around. Thank you once again for all the effort and time you spent 'carving out' a very realistic 'Max'. Please do not hesitate to forward my name for any recommendation that you may require on future sculptures. Yours sincerely, FWJ Smith.
