This beautiful Japenese Akita dog was the carers pride and joy. Deeply missed after his passing she asked me to memorialise him in clay. Now permanently with her by her bedside she says to me that it is 'such a comfort having him here with me. You've caught him so beautifully, it's like he's come to life'

I remember every moment of making this piece, and the smells around me too. I was at school and it was my first go with clay. It felt so right to me to be doing this.
