Drawings and things ...

I’m a busy bee in the studio right now creating a LOT of new stuff for shows that I have booked in for this year, as well as commissions I am working on.  Keep checking back here to see what’s new as well as checking up on me in Facebook which gives you a good look behind the scenes.  Alternatively you can sign up for my newsletter and you will be notified via email when they start up again.

Cuteness Alert!

The Door Mouse … what can I say! They have the most adorable faces, and whatever they are doing they seem to have the happiest faces.  They are a delight to draw as they constantly make me giggle.  The door mouse is a kind of mediator between physical life and recycling life (which really is quite appropriate for me at least at the moment!) … a they often hold the message for us to review our resources on all levels; like energetic, financial, emotional, and physical – so that we can become more conscious of how we spend or distribute these resources in our lives. So, think about becoming quiet and invisible, understanding the details of things and seeing the double meanings in things.

Hare Mania

Those of you who know my work well are aware that I am potty about hares! And these intense drawing sessions give me the perfect excuse to draw even more!  Hares emanate the essence of love, fertility and abundance into our lives.

Save the Bees

For all ye bee lovers out there you’ll love these.  Their homes with their honeycomb shapes offer harmony, balance, sincerity, love and truth as the touch of Venus is thrown into the mix with it’s hexagonal six sides. The bee itself is a wise messenger to the viewer and will help you to fulfil your dreams by offering you focus and energy to keep on…

Running Hares

Hares have this wonderful ability to move FAST! … and it’s this energy that we can pick up and use to help us move with quick agility between paths that we decide to take in life, and move us away from danger if necessary.  I find the hare rather wise in this way.

Golden Backgrounds

As you will have noticed by now I am pretty into gold right now! (although silver is coming in now).  Gold is symbolic of the transition of the soul, which as you know is pretty much linked to everything I do.  So like the infamous legend of alchemists turning common metals into gold the use of this colour is bringing this quest to change base vulgarities like greed, hate and selfishness into qualities like love, virtue and compassion through the process of the purification of self into our lives.

Butterflies often feature in my work as they bring the miracle of transformation and resurrection with them into our lives, lighting us up with joy during change.  They can also bring messages from the spirits of the dead.

The Pheasant

A golden harvest moon and silver light shimmering over the pheasant … he’s telling you to not be afraid to attract attention to yourself right now, as well as also reminding you to keep tapping into your deep creative passions! So, love and creativity ha … let those experiences in I say!

The Raven

The raven brings magic and healing with it, and it awakens the energy of magic, linking it to our will and intention.  Helping you through great changes they will lead you, if you are willing, into the discovery of your multidimensional self and reunite you with the secrets of the multidimensional universe.

The Owl

When the owl comes into your life they will help you cut through illusions and see the real meaning of someone’s action or state of mind, boosting your intuition. They will help you to move forward removing the blocks that may prevent one from recognizing their life’s purpose.

Boxing Hares

Boxing hares are probably the most popular in the form of art.  For me, with their spring-time “boxing” (which is actually a mating ritual in which an often unreceptive female fends off amorous males), they bring in an energy that is helps us to connect with our male and female selves honestly, coupled with the lesson of discernment.

Amongst Flowers

You’ll be seeing more and more hares in fields of flowers soon – and they will only get more and more colourful – so watch this space!

These little guys, they bring with them such delight!

The Moon

The moon from all seasons features widely in my work.  I love it’s illuminating qualities from many perspectives be it philosophical to metaphysical.  A luminary, she helps us to connect to time and it’s cycles, the deep psyche and much wonder, bringing the shadow into view so helping us to balance and move through into renewal.  The moon’s mysteries help connect us to our deep emotions and hence to ‘Inspire our Heart’ through intuition in a more passive way – bringing with it gentleness and sensitivity.  A very feminine symbol she helps us to progress through our lives in a deeply thoughtful and observant way.

You can never have too much joy in life!
