Terms and Conditions

When you make an order with me, Liz Shewan, it is automatically assumed that you have read and agreed to these terms and conditions below, so please be sure to read them carefully.

Any questions, please do just ask.

The term ‘I’, ‘Liz’, ‘we’, or ‘my’ refers to the owner of the website; Liz Shewan. The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of our website. If you have any further queries once you have read these terms please contact me via email at [email protected] Thank you.

BUYING WORK AND BOOKING WORKSHOPS

When you want to buy a painting, print, sculpture, photograph, greetings card or book a workshop please contact me and we will agree arrangements.

All fees are listed/offered in GBP.  Payment can be made using PayPal, credit/debit cards: Mastercard, Visa, Visa, Delta/Debit, Visa Electron, Maestro and American Express, and I have just introduced a BACS option. If you are not paying via my online shop at Soul Rebalancing I will send you an invoice and receipt once you have paid via email.

Payment of fees for sessions in person are payable in cash in GBP. However, if I am travelling to you I shall require a non-refundable fee for travel expenses in advance for which you will be sent an invoice prior to the appointment, according to your location, to be paid via PayPal or BACS. As a last resort if you require to pay via cheque then please contact me for further details.

COMMISSIONS

If we agree upon a commission piece a 50% non-refundable deposit is taken up front to allow Liz to start the work. Work will not commence before this is received. The remainder is due upon delivery of the work if by hand or prior to delivery via post. On average commissions take from 6 weeks to 12 months to complete, all dependant on the detail required and her work load – Liz will give you a more accurate timescale at the time of booking. About half way through Liz will take a photo of the work and send you an .jpeg via email so that you can see how things are going. It is at this point that you are allowed to request one change should you wish it. You are commissioning Liz because you love her work and trust her creative decisions so please bare this in mind when placing your order.

DELIVERY OF ARTWORKS

Liz aims to despatch orders of paintings, sculptures within 48 hours of cleared payment, Monday to Friday. However, should you be ordering an art print or photograph please allow a further 14 days as they are printed one by one in London; and if they are mounted this is done at the framers out of house. Liz will keep you up to date with the progress of your order.

Items are sent via Royal Mail and usually Special Delivery and an appropriate insurance added.  Delivery charges are added to any purchase that you make.  Liz always tries to keep your deilvery costs as low as possible and often re-uses packaging materials to this end.  Please be specific in telling her when you need the item/s by and to where.  It is always nice for Liz if you let her know that it has arrived safe and sound, along with how you like your new investment so please do do this when you can.

Collection can be organised if convenient for all parties.

RETURNS

Due to technical limitations the image viewed on the screen may differ slightly from the actual item purchased. Should you not be completely satisfied with your order you have the right to return any purchase within 7 days. A full refund will be given as soon as goods are received by Liz Shewan undamaged, minus any non refundable deposits if applicable and delivery charges.  However, if you have purchased a commission piece things are different – the appropriate agreed changes within reason will be made and the work will be sent back to you as soon as possible.

If goods are received damaged or not as ordered, please contact Liz immediately to let her know, and where possible send a photograph of the damage via email to [email protected] so that she can consider the options of repair/refund. Should a full refund be in order (minus any deposit and delivery charges) this will not be returned until the order has been safely returned to her.

Should you require to return an item please contact Liz by email or telephone and she I will give you the details of where to send it to.  Sorry, Liz does not like to advertise her address on the internet!

HOW TO BOOK MENTORING SESSIONS

To book sessions online for mentoring please visit our Soul Rebalancing website and book on line.  Once you have paid for your session I will contact you to arrange an appointment time.  Payment of fees for sessions via VideoSkype or telephone the fees are to be paid in advance at the time of booking, no exceptions. No refunds are offered.  If you would like a face to face consultation in your studio please contact me via email at [email protected] In either case, should you have any preferences to time it is a good idea to send me an email immediately you have booked your session to tell me. Between us we will reach a mutually convenient time. 

Please know, I am really busy. I always endeavour to get back to you within 48 hours latest. On the whole wait time for appointments can be any time from 1 to 3 weeks. occasionally slots are available the next day. I do not work in the evening after 6pm or on a Sunday.

DISCOUNTS are offered to those who pay in bulk in advance which you will see clearly in the Soul Rebalancing Store.  Ad hoc ongoing ‘in-between’ support via a variation of VideoSkype, SkypeText and emails (dependant on personal requirements) is offered to existing clients only and is not mentioned in the store – this only applies with a mutual agreement and is subject to availability. Please ask Liz for full details if this is of interest to you. No refunds are offered.

CANCELLATION POLICY

I have a VERY strict no-show policy. If you do not make your appointment time, you do not get another appointment with me ever. If you know you will not make your allotted time I require a 48 hour notice minimum. Please understand that when you do not call or show I cannot make that time available for another client – hence my strict policy! If you do not show up for your appointment or if you do not give me a 48 hour notice for cancellation, your fee for the appointment will be forfeited.

WHAT TO BRING TO WORKSHOPS

For each group workshop please bring a packed lunch with you and something to take notes. Basic tea and coffee with milk will be provided. Each course includes the use of a few basic materials, however please see the details of each individual course to see what extra materials and equipment you will be required to bring with you. You will be told via email what to bring also so don’t worry about a thing!

HOW TO BOOK A SPACE ON THE WORKSHOP

When booking for one-off one day workshops a deposit of £25 secures your place in a group workshop, and for two-day workshops a deposit of £50 secures your place… with the balance due 3 weeks before the course.  It is advised that you pay the deposit as soon as you decide to enrol to avoid disappointment as there is increasing demand for the available slots (especially during the summer months) on the workshops and there is only so long I can hold a space for you.

To be eligible for any discounted rates offered you will be required to pay the whole amount up front immediately upon booking; whether this be for a term, one day or two-day workshop unless otherwise stated.  To be eligible for any offers and discounts that may be offered please see each individual course for details of payment requirements to ensure you enjoy the offer.

Payments may be made by PayPal via this site or by BACS at the time of booking your course.  If you need to pay by cheque please contact me and we can make arrangements. The number of places on each course is limited to 5-10 places (dependant on the course and the location) to make sure each participant receives plenty of personal attention and enhance your personal learning and experience.

To book your place please pay your deposit via the store.  I will then send you an invoice for the full and final amount which you are responsible for sending me 3 weeks prior to the event – if this is for a term discount then that would mean three weeks before the start of term. If you are paying by cheque please ensure it arrives with me by this time. Please take note of what it says below about the implication of a late payment.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR WORKSHOPS

Deposits are non refundable. Non payment of the balance or any part of the fee by the due date will be assumed to imply cancellation and the place may be reallocated and the deposit forfeited without further notice (I will ring you to see what’s going on first though!).

When you pay for workshops on a term by term basis (ie. x4 Workshops every month for x4 months) no refunds are offered under any circumstances, just like you would expect when booking with any college.

If for any reason Liz Shewan is unable to offer tuition on any part or all of any course an appropriate tutor may be substituted at her absolute discretion. If for any reason it is necessary to cancel the course (ie. due to extreme weather conditions like flooding or snow drifts) participants will be informed as soon as possible and a course date change will be agreed with all participants. No further liability will be accepted. You are advised to consider appropriate insurance at the time of booking.

VENUES AND ACCOMMODATION

Details of full directions to the workshop venues will be emailed to you prior to the event.  Should you require information on accommodation please contact me and I will provide you with some ideas upon request … I will however not be held responsible for any of the venues as any suggestions made are independent, unassociated with me, and whilst she makes every effort to ensure their suitability, this may not always be possible. .

RECORDINGS

An MP3 recording can be made of your reading/consultation if requested by prior arrangement for your convenience, and will be sent out via your email or given to you on a disc as soon as they are available. Recordings of the reading on MP3 are copyright protected. These recordings, and the copyright are the property of Liz and any use other than for what they are intended (personal record of your session) is strictly prohibited. You are welcome to tape record your own session but only for use in the same context as above. Permission to record Liz’s voice for any reason must be received and approved in writing, by Liz prior to communication. Recording of your session is NOT and can not be guaranteed due to technical difficulties. Please feel free to make notes during the session.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

Liz will not disclose any information to third parties unless permission is granted. All sessions are kept confidential unless she feels that the client may be in danger of hurting themselves or another, and then in this case only she will contact the proper authorities.

The personal information you provide when you contact us will not be used for any other purpose or shared with any outside parties without your prior notice and consent.

After a consultation/Workshop I will ask for feedback from you. What you have to say about your experiences helps me to continue giving my best possible service to you and our other clients, which is of utmost importance to me. Of course, at any stage if you wanted to “withdraw” this testimonial, just let me know and we’ll take it off all of marketing materials, with the exception of printed materials (such as brochures – we’d need to wait until the next printing run to do this).

BLOG, FACEBOOK AND TWITTER COMMENT POLICY

All of my social network comments are strictly moderated to prevent spam. Also, I do not allow any blog comments that are rude, disrespectful or abusive (towards me or other commenters). If I perceive that you are using my blog or social media as a platform for your online wars with other people, you will be banned. I’m all about free speech provided it is not cruel or troll like. Some posts will have closed comments if the subject matter is sensitive. Thank you for understanding.

INSURANCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Liz Shewan is fully insured with Royal & Sun Alliance for Spiritual Healing, Life Coaching (based on NLP/Counselling) and animal healing and I am a fully qualified Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner.

These Terms and Conditions are effective as of October 22nd 2005. Any changes to this policy will be clearly highlighted on this page and the effective date will be modified accordingly.
